Piping Services
Highland bagpipes add so much to any event, and there's nothing better than a kilted piper to add a bit of Celtic flavor to any gathering.
I have one rule, and that is to make you happy. It's your event, and I do everything I can to make it a little more special. Let my award-winning piping complete your event.

My primary performance area is southern and western Maine, inluding the greater Portland area, Lewiston and Auburn, and Augusta, as well as eastern New Hampshire. However, I will travel as far as necessary to play for you. Be advised that my fee may be higher if I have to travel farther for your event. If you're interested in hiring me, please contact me for more information and pricing.
Whatever you're looking for, I can play music that fits the event. Head over to my sound sample page to hear some tunes I've recorded.
Weddings
If you're Scottish or Irish, or even if you're not, having a piper can really make your special day even more special. At the ceremony, consider having a piper play a prelude as guests arrive, lead the processional and recessional, and provide music as guests move through the receiving line. Have the piper lead the newlyweds in a grand entrance at the reception hall, and maybe play some lively dance tunes later in the evening.

Funerals
What can be more fitting than laying your loved one to rest as the haunting phrases of Amazing Grace, Going Home, and Flowers of the Forest drift across the cemetery? Scottish tradition has a piper playing whenever the casket is moved: from the church to the hearse, from the hearse to the gravesite. Or have a piper play only at the church, only at the gravesite, or both. You can also have a piper play before, during, or after the funeral service at a church or funeral home.
Worship
"...and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the ground shook with the sound." 1 Kings 1:40
Music is God's gift to man, and is an integral part of worship in nearly every denomination of every faith. The pipes are one of those instruments that reach straight to the soul, and they carry with them every human emotion.
As a prelude, offertory, special music, benediction, or postlude, let the pipes make a joyful noise unto the Lord. |

Parties, Fundraisers, and other Gatherings
Have a Scottish relative with a birthday coming up? How about a golf tournament or dinner as a fundraiser or social event? Whether it's a dinner party, Robert Burns dinner, anniversary, fundraiser, reunion, retirement, picnic, party to celebrate Tartan Day (April 6), St. Andrew's Day (November 30), St. Patrick's Day (March 17), or just a gathering of friends, you can have a piper start the festivities with a rousing introduction, escort members of the head table to their seats, give a toast, and put everyone in a jovial mood.
Have Scottish heritage and want to learn to play the pipes? Or do you just want to wear a kilt? Even if you've never played an instrument before, I teach beginning pipers from scratch, and I'm happy to take on students. I can also can help answer questions regarding learning the pipes, instrument setup and maintenance, and tunes. Check out my Learning the Bagpipes page for more information about my teaching and how to get started.
